My name is Alyssa Andrews. I’m seventeen. I love to paint, draw, and take photos. One day I would love to be a professional artist. However, I’ve learned that ‘one day’ might not even exist for me. You see, when I was fifteen I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid carcinoma.
I had always been a fun girl. I loved to be random, hang out with my friends, play games, just have fun and be a kid! Well, after my cancer diagnosis that part of me died. I’ve become hyper vigilant, depressed, and cold. In a strange way I don’t feel like I exist in this world anymore. Like I’m on autopilot.
I have an ever growing and ever changing list of things to do before I die. This is not my attempt to bring back the dead girl in me. This is my attempt to regain control of my life, to be happy even in the darkest times.
With the help of my friends, family, some random caring individuals, and God I will live life and live it like a badass!
